Built on 111 m2 land area, DSP House is a modern-tropical house which is designed to optimise air circulation and natural lighting inside the house.
We achieved that through a breakthrough design: we split the house into two main buildings for private area and public area. In the middle of the house, we put an inner courtyard with small pond and a solobium tree.
The inner courtyard acts as an oasis and the heart of the house to connect the two buildings.
As a result, the inner courtyard become an integral part to distribute air circulation and natural lighting to every room. A void with a wide skylight inside the house also plays significant role to maximising the air circulation and natural lighting.
